Jana is an artist working mostly with analogue photography, exploring self-presentation, the body and identity. Their practice moves between intimacy and distance, with a focus on the gaze and the tensions it creates. Working from a queer perspective, Fodstad engages with the act of looking as both a personal and collective experience. They are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Art Direction. Fodstad has just published a book I´m not scared of god, I´m scared of men.
